(More customer reviews)This item has been the main napping location for my son since he was born. It's very useful and easy to carry around the house. It's also great to have a place to put him when we go to parties. He can pass out in it in the middle of anything. It's long enough that I think we will be able to get a few more months use out of it (he is three weeks old now). I like that the sides can pop up or down. I have not yet used the shade or zipper on cover features yet, so I can't speak to those, nor have I used this item in a stroller. As a thing to use around the house and for traveling out and about, I recommended it!

Cosco Umbrella Stroller Review

(More customer reviews)The price here is a bit ridiculous. Spend 45 seconds and you can find a reputable retailer selling for just short of half this much, in the ballpark of $20.

And for $20, this stroller is at least decent. It's very, very lightweight, which is good at times. However, it's also pretty flimsy, so don't expect it to tolerate, well, anything. The wheels are small and hard, which makes for a rough ride. It's also very short, so if you're not, prepare to stoop. The latch to keep it closed is hard to find, and the lock to keep it open will take the skin off your fingers if you're not careful. The seat material is very thin, almost worrisomely so (but at least the pattern is cute).

It's also very small. My son is about 33 inches tall and 25 lbs, and he barely fits. If your child is much bigger than mine, they won't fit at all.

I got this stroller to be a super-light-weight way to push my son around on very short trips when i have to carry other heavy things, or go up or down stairs. (His other stroller is a three-wheeled jogging stroller, so very inconvenient if stairs are involved.) It does exactly what i wanted from it, and not a single bit more.

Cosco seems to have interesting designs a notch up from $20 generic umbrella strollersbut with terrible workmanship and material selection. Assembly was fairly easy although the illustrations and directions in the manual don't resemble the stroller parts, probably written for a previous model but were too lazy to alter. I don't have issues about the baby's snack tray banging on the ground when folding up the stroller. A highlight of the Altura is that it can be collapsed with one hand and that's true, I achieved it on first attempt, although I wish it would fold up more compactly.

However the following really irk me: the safety belt.. it just goes around the waist and does not go across the chest, so if you are blessed with an active inquisitive baby he might be able to escape the restraint, beware! Next the overall structure seems flimsy, I tightened every joint and it still rattles as if parts were loose. Weight balance is an issue too, back of stroller seems heavier so make sure your hanging diaper bag isn't heavy, unless you have a very heavy baby, it only takes a little pressure for the whole stroller to tilt backwards. The seat does not recline all the way, it's just a slight tilt maybe +20' degrees. Nylon canopy isn't completely water-resistant. If used in a light drizzle fine, anything heavier your baby IS going to get soaked. There are 2 not 1 pedals for the brake. Make sure you still got a firm hold on the stroller before parking it completely. Lastly front wheels are too big, when baby is tall enough he might kick them or rest his feet there posing a danger to you and himself when going downslope. Remember the seat belt only holds him at the waist. If he's tilting forward he might fall right off.

Verdict? Good for simple walks indoors like the mall, or outdoors on flat level terrain, not recommended as an everyday stroller. Otherwise please spend a little more for a safer stroller.

BumbleRide 2010 Flite Stroller Review

(More customer reviews)I bought the Bumbleride Flite as a stroller for travel for my 19 month old daughter. We also own the MacLaren Techno XLR which has very similar features, but is bulkier and weighs a few pounds more making it a bit difficult to travel with on planes, buses, etc.Since I now own both strollers, I'll provide a bit of a comparison:

Stroller Fold
- The Flite wins here. The fold is compact and the wheels don't sag like on the Techno XLR. This made it easy to stow the stroller in a variety of places (booths at restaurants, the back of a tourist trolley, etc.) It also made it easier to carry when in the folded position. It is taking me and my husband awhile to get the hang of the fold mechanism on the Flite. That is likely user error :)

Overall Ride/Maneuverability
The Techno XLR is better here. The Flite does not have height adjustable handles which was a drawback between me (5'2) and my husband (6'2).The orientation of the stroller was fine for my taller husband, but the Techno XLR is slightly better. The Flite drives well, but the Techno XLR is smoother in general, especially when steering. Also, the video review of the Flite mentions the bar that pops out of place when walking - this is obnoxious, but from time to time, I did use the bar for one handed steering, so I guess that's okay.

Comfort
Both are great, and no complaints from my daughter. The Flite is great because the back zips down to allow air to flow through the stroller. The Techno XLR doesn't do this. The canopy is good on both, but a bit bigger on the Techno XLR. The Flite doesn't sit as upright in the highest position as does the Techno XLR, but this didn't seem to bother my daughter. The strap adjust on the Flite is preferable to the two handed release on the Techno XLR. Both have carseat adapter bars, which means you don't have to buy a bulky travel system (yay!)

Storage
The Flite comes with a cupholder, which is nice, but the Techno XLR has much better storage overall. The Flite's basket is small and has to be accessed from the front. Plus, if you accidentally leave anything in it when folding, watch out. My husband destroyed a snack trap in the process. I love the double pouch on the back of the Techno XLR, and really missed this on the Flite.

Style
Both are great, and the colors of the Bumbleride line are eye catching and fresh. We got a lot of stroller envy looks from other parents as we strolled around with the Flite. I'm a little concerned about the light aqua color of the lining, but it is machine washable, so I'm guessing it'll survive.

If I Had it To Do Again....
If I hadn't had the Techno XLR, I'd likely be very pleased with the BumbleRide Flite. There are a number of features that I like more about the Techno XLR, but they aren't deal breakers. In general, I think you would be very happy with either of these strollers and you wouldn't need to buy one of the heavier travel systems. My plan now is to keep the Flite in my car, and use the Techno XLR for our more frequent walks around the neighborhood.
