(More customer reviews)I have had this pad since my daughter was born . That was 3 years ago. I have never had a problem washing it and drying it on any temperature. It has always fit the mattress and has not even a sign of starting to wear down or tear after all of this time. I wash in cold water if that makes any difference, But drying it has been dryed on High before and still strong as ever and fitts just right. Now I am going to get another one for my Newest arrival due in March .

(More customer reviews)This is a great mattress.Firm, yet comfortable.It is rather heavy (compared to a foam mattress).It is not waterproof in any way, but that has not caused us any problems so far (we have used it for almost 2 years now).We use a washable waterproof cover over the mattress.Would definitely buy it again, if needed.It appears to be made entirely of natural coir fiber, covered with a cotton batting (I don't think there are any chemical fire retardants added, which some say may contribute to SIDS).

It has everything I was looking for: It is 150 coils, has an edge rod to prolong the life of the edges and mattress, For water-resistance it has ticking reinforced with nylon, therefore no need to extra mattress pad for wet. It's not heavy, but of course not light as foam ones. Also it has ventilation holes, which give freshness to mattress. It's firm. The only thing,I put cotton mattress pad in order to keep sheets ordered because nylon ticking on mattress creates slippery surface. Overall we're really satisfied with this purchase.

(More customer reviews)This is a fantastic mattress. We've used one for 3 years with our oldest and now that a sibling is on the way, we'll be buying a new one for that child too. (we'd use the original but Oldest is still loving the toddler bed and doesn't want to move out of it). The mattress fits very snuggly and has held up to two moves, lots of middle of the night changes and a wide variety of "ick" :o)The only sign of wear after three years is that the corners look a little mashed on top from all the sheet changes. The only cavet is that you have to buy a good quality sheet (like Carters) because the mattress is a little thicker than most. I tore through two cheaper brand sheets cuz they weren't made to fit a mattress this thick.

(More customer reviews)This mattress seems to hit a nice median point in terms of being earth friendly, safe for your child, and reasonably priced.I did some research and found that this little mattress was able to provide the best safety from harmful chemicals in the middle price range.It was(is) neither too expensive nor cheap.I think it was $150.00.It does have a plastic casing which makes it not totally safe, but better than the average.My baby girl sleeps well on it and I sleep better knowing she is as safe - as safe as I can make her without buying a $400.00 mattress.
